Regular peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, and Skinwave facials can help increase the longevity of your injections and the efficacy of your products.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) with few to no adverse effects. It has quickly gained popularity among cosmetic medical providers across the country. Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, the esthetician simply abrades the surface using light feathering strokes. Removing epidermal skin allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers. Although merely an old wives’ tale, many patients are often concerned that the hair will grow back thicker and darker after dermaplaning. This is not the case. As long as the hair is superficial vellus hair, it will grow back at the same rate and texture as before the treatment.

Dermaplaning will also prep the skin prior to chemical peels, Skinwave facials, and microneedling.

For the first few days after your treatment, you will want to avoid sun exposure as much as possible. If you must be in the sun, apply and reapply SPF 30+ every 2 hours, wear a hat and sunglasses and seek shade. In addition, you should delay exposure to excessive heat, heavy workouts, steam rooms, and saunas for 24-48 hours post-treatment.

Dermaplaning with Skinwave

The best time to receive a Skinwave Facial is right after dermaplaning. The Skinwave nutrient-rich solutions will infuse deep down into the skin after dermaplaning using alpha hydroxy, beta-hydroxy, and moisturizing hyaluronic acid. A relaxing scalp massage, steam, facial massage, and extractions are included.

Rejuvapen NXT Microneedling

Rejuvapen is a medical-grade, state-of-the-art precision microneedling device. It helps your skin become firmer and regain its elasticity. Fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced, pores become finer, circulation is stimulated, and the overall condition of your skin improves

Microneedling treats skin problems by stimulating the body’s natural healing response. It does so by using small needles to create tiny puncture wounds in the skin. Microneedling requires a series of treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimum results as the body slowly regenerates collagen and elastin in the treatment area. Each full face treatment takes about 1 hour.

The Rejuvapen has adjustable settings which allow your esthetician to adjust and customize the procedure to your comfort level, as well as your more troublesome areas, like deep wrinkles or acne scars. Numbing cream is applied beforehand.
