Kelsey Septimio, PA-C
Kelsey Septimio, like Dr. Mendelsohn, grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She completed her undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and then moved to Raleigh for a postgraduate leadership development program. During that year, while working at Alliance Medical Ministry as the garden and wellness coordinator, Kelsey realized she had a passion for taking care of more than just plants and decided she would need to go back to school to enter the medical profession.
Kelsey's eagerness for wellness was paired well with her Master's of Science in Public Health and she grew in knowledge of how to assess health from a community level. Kelsey then went straight into the Physician Associate training. Kelsey has been working as a PA-C with New South Family Medicine and MedSpa on the DPC and aesthetic side since October 2021.
Kelsey's passions within medicine include preventative/upstream medicine, patient education, patient advocacy, and a whole-body (mind, body, spirit) approach to family medicine. Kelsey believes that being an individual's medical provider is a huge responsibility and privilege and hopes that as she provides care for this community that is evident.
Shannon Shipe, FNP-BC
Shannon is a Nurse Practitioner with over twenty years of experience caring for patients in various areas that include urgent care, family practice, and wellness.
She earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree at the University of West Virginia and her Master's as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pittsburgh. Her diverse background includes treating a range of concerns from aging skin to helping men and women balance their hormones with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She has spent the past six years working directly with hormone patients, offering comprehensive counseling and prescribing BHRT (bioidentical hormone replacement therapy).
Shannon is also extremely passionate about aesthetics and believes both go hand and hand and loves helping patients regain their confidence and establish self-care practices through proper non-invasive aesthetic procedures like Botox and dermal fillers.
Jessica Hale, LE
Jessica has been working in the aesthetic industry for over two decades and attended the International School of Skincare in Atlanta, Georgia. Jessica relocated to the Fort Mill area in 2009 where she owned and operated Peaceful Esthetics until 2019.
Jessica continues to take advanced training with post-graduate courses and seminars to ensure that her clients are receiving the latest in products and services. Her ongoing studies and certifications include; Laser technologies, advanced concepts in medical skincare, RF Microneedling, medical-grade peels, treating melasma, and many more skin-related categories.
Jessica will always provide an optimal experience for her clientele by combining her gentle touch and clinical experience while working under the direct supervision of Dr. Mendelsohn. Keva Washington, LE
Keva Washington is one of our highly trained licensed estheticians with 6 years of experience in focusing on in-depth client care plans and protocols, with a clinical approach. She is from Columbia, SC, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!) and attended Southeastern Esthetics Institute. Keva is passionate about skin health and enjoys collaborating with clients to meet their skincare goals. Her favorite thing about what she does is seeing the confidence that comes when someone feels comfortable in their own skin again.
Brandi Jansen, RN, BSN
Brandi is an RN with over 15 years of experience caring for patients in various areas, including trauma/emergency care and cardiac care, and was even a school nurse within the Fort Mill School District. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Georgetown University and her Bachelor of Arts from her first love, Clemson University.
Brandi has always been passionate about educating her patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention. She believes everyone should feel good in their skin! Brandi spends the majority of her time as a busy mom to 4 children and running a non-profit to aid families battling pediatric cancer. She knows the importance of self-care and is excited to be a part of New South Family Medicine and MedSpa.
Anne Fetterman, RN, BSN
Anne is a licensed RN, BSN with a passion for patient care. She comes to NSFM with 25 years of experience caring for patients in a variety of settings, such as neuro intensive care, open heart recovery, and pulmonary. She graduated from Baker University and holds both a BS in biology and a BS in Nursing.
Anne grew up in Kansas City and always knew she wanted to dedicate her life to helping people. She was a travel nurse for 5 years and spent time in New Orleans and San Francisco, among other cities. As if being a nurse doesn't keep Anne incredibly busy, she also works part-time as a legal nurse consultant and as a content editor.
Anne is a devoted wife and mother to 2 young boys. She lives in the Fort Mill area and is active in her community. She is looking forward to connecting with all the incredible patients at New South Family Medicine and MedSpa and continuing to help as many people as possible on their journey to overall health.
Joanne Pope is our front desk coordinator and if you know her, you love her! With over 30 years of experience in the customer service industry, she really considers her role as a way of connecting with the Fort Mill community.
Originally from Canada, she moved to the area with her husband over 5 years ago. Joanne loves meeting new people and understands the importance of taking care of her health. When she’s not at work, Joanne enjoys yoga, spending time with her husband, and traveling.
Hillary is a patient and referral coordinator and will always greet you with a smile! She earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from James Madison University before spending over ten years operating corporate marketing programs and special events.
Born in Germany, Hillary has lived in five states plus Canada and Turkey. She happily settled into the Fort Mill community six years ago becoming one of the first families in the New South Family Medicine practice. She can attest to the benefits of the DPC model and enjoys providing an extended level of care to others.
When she’s not at the beach with her family, Hillary enjoys being active outside and spending time with her children and their activities.
